Welcome to DeleteThreads. Our core purpose is to execute bulk deletions of your Threads posts on your behalf once you authorize us. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data needed to provide that service.

By using DeleteThreads, you grant explicit, informed consent for us to access and manage your Threads content solely to perform the deletion tasks you request and in line with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect specific data after you authorize us:

Meta account identifiers: Threads/Instagram user ID to target your account for deletion tasks.
Post data for deletion: Post IDs and post content that we read only to execute your chosen deletions. We do not persist post content unless you explicitly choose to save it.
Access tokens: OAuth access tokens stored in encrypted form while your authorization is active so we can process deletion requests.
Optional saved items: If you choose to store any posts or logs, they remain linked to your account and are removed when you revoke access or delete your account.
Account and billing: Email and payment metadata necessary to manage subscriptions and provide support.
Usage data: Service usage (e.g., task counts, error logs) to operate and secure the platform.

We never collect your Threads password.

3. How We Use Your Information

We collect the minimum data required to run deletion tasks and operate the service. We do not use your data for advertising, resale, or purposes unrelated to bulk deletion.

  • To execute the bulk deletion commands you initiate via the Threads API
  • To manage scheduling, queues, and retries you request
  • To notify you about task status, outages, or compliance updates
  • To provide customer support and troubleshoot issues
  • To secure the service, monitor performance, and meet legal obligations

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or share your Threads data, access tokens, or post content with any third-party service providers.

Payment processing is handled by Paddle, but no Threads access tokens or post content are sent to Paddle. We only disclose information if required by law or valid legal process.

If business ownership changes, we will honor this commitment and notify you before any transfer of personal data.

5. Data Security

The security of your data is important to us. Data is stored on servers located on the U.S. West Coast. We implement the following measures:

  • Encryption: Access tokens are encrypted at rest and in transit.
  • Row Level Security (RLS): Our database is configured to ensure users can only access their own data.
  • Access controls: Strict access controls and audit logging limit who can interact with production systems.
  • Secure connections: All data transmission occurs over SSL/TLS encrypted connections.
  • Security reviews: Regular reviews of permissions, dependencies, and infrastructure to reduce risk.
  • Retention and deletion: Access tokens are retained only while your authorization is active. If you revoke access, delete your account, or remain inactive for an extended period, tokens and optional saved items are deleted or anonymized. We do not store post content unless you explicitly opt in.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

Access and Update: You can view and update your account settings within the dashboard.
Delete Data: You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data stored on our servers. This does not affect content already deleted from Threads.
Revoke Access: You can revoke DeleteThreads' access to your Threads account at any time via the dashboard revoke control or your Threads/Instagram settings.
Data subject rights: Where applicable (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you can access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we store (excluding content already removed from Threads). Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information, such as your authentication session.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
